The Making of “Frosty” β˜ƒπŸ˜Šβ€οΈ

We were hit with another big snow storm which left our playground a beautiful winter wonderland! We went outside early this morning and found our yard covered in a blanket of snow. The weather was warm enough that it made it packing snow. Great for creating! πŸ˜€

One child asked “can we build a snowman?”

Of course we can! And off to work we went.

All the preschoolers worked together to roll our first snowball. The farther we pushed it around the larger it got. It was finally big enough so we found the perfect place to build our snowman. Now he needed a middle. When the second snowball was complete they carried it over to our first one and placed it on top. We packed snow around the sides so he wouldn’t fall over. Another child built the head and placed it on top. We had our snowman built.

But something was missing….

“He needs a nose” a child exclaimed!

We found a carrot for his nose a some rocks for his eyes.

“I think he’s cold” another child said

So we gave him a scarf.

“What should we call him?”

Many suggestions were given: Rocky, Olaf, Frosty

They decided “Frosty” suited him best. They began to sing “Frosty the Snowman”. Their hard work was complete and they all gave their new friend Frosty a big hug.

I wonder what they’ll create together next?
